Kin: App Store Listing Checklist

Kin app

This article applies to the Kin app (now part of Reactiv). If your app was built with Reactiv, see the Reactiv support docs instead.

Use this checklist to gather everything the Kin team needs for your App Store and Google Play listings. Items marked (optional) can be left out.

Both stores

  • App name: shown under the icon on the shopper's home screen.
  • App title: the name on the store listing, up to 30 characters. It can be longer or different from the app name, for example "Shop by Your Brand" vs "Your Brand".
  • App icon: 1024 × 1024 px, PNG or JPEG, no transparency. It's used as-is on iOS, and Android adaptive icons are generated from it.
  • Full description.
  • Privacy policy URL.
  • Release notes for the first version.

Apple App Store

  • Subtitle.
  • Promotional text (optional).
  • Primary category, plus a secondary category (optional). Most brands choose Shopping.
  • Search keywords: comma-separated, at least one.
  • Support URL, plus a marketing URL (optional).
  • Copyright: for example "2024 Your Company Inc."
  • iPhone screenshots (required): iPhone with Dynamic Island (medium display), 1179 × 2556 px or 1206 × 2622 px.
  • Larger iPhone screenshots (optional): 1260 × 2736 px, 1290 × 2796 px, or 1320 × 2868 px.
  • iPad screenshots (only if your app supports iPad): 13" display, 2064 × 2752 px or 2048 × 2732 px.

Google Play

  • Short description: up to 80 characters.
  • Category.
  • Feature graphic: 1024 × 500 px, up to 15 MB.
  • Contact email, plus a contact phone and website (optional).
  • Phone screenshots: 2–8 images, PNG or JPEG, up to 8 MB each, 16:9 or 9:16, each side between 320 and 3,840 px.
  • Promo video (optional): a YouTube link. The video must be public or unlisted, landscape, not age-restricted, with ads turned off.

Tips

  • Screenshots can be gathered with the Kin team during onboarding, using test builds of your app.
  • The App Store and Google Play reject a release that reuses a version number, so the Kin team manages version and build numbers for you.
