Kin: For You Feed Content

Kin app

This article applies to the Kin app (now part of Reactiv). If your app was built with Reactiv, see the Reactiv support docs instead.

The For You tab is your brand's own space in the app. Use it for drops, stories, polls and links to your store. You create content in the Kin dashboard.

Content types​

Highlights​

Story-style photo and video content, shown as a tray of tiles at the top of the For You tab.

  • Highlights are grouped into albums. Each album has a title and a cover image.
  • Each highlight is a photo or video, with an optional caption.
  • You can tag products on a highlight. Each tag shows a title, subtitle, optional thumbnail and link, so shoppers can shop what they see.
  • Highlights always open full screen and play in order.

Polls​

Ask shoppers a question and show live results.

  • A poll has a title, an optional cover image, and a set of options.
  • Each option has text and an optional thumbnail.
  • Shoppers can vote and remove their vote, and they see live vote counts.
  • You can let shoppers add their own options.

A card in the feed that opens a URL, for example a new collection, a blog post or a landing page.

  • A link card has a title, subtitle, optional image or video, and an optional button label.

Carousels​

A titled, horizontally scrolling row of link cards. Carousels are useful for collections, new arrivals or gift guides.

Publishing options​

When you create content you can:

  • Schedule it to publish later.
  • Target an audience, for example a Klaviyo list or segment. Content with no audience is shown to everyone, including signed-out shoppers. A shopper's audience membership updates when they sign in, open the app fresh or turn on notifications, so recent changes in Klaviyo may take a little time to show.
  • Promote it with a push notification that opens the content directly. Notifications can link to a specific highlight or poll.
